Playing M3U Files on Enigma2

Converting M3U Files to Enigma2 Without TSmedia

Prerequisites:

  • m3u2userbouquet: A tool for converting M3U files to Enigma2-compatible userbouquet files.
  • Notepad++: A text editor for editing M3U and userbouquet files.
  • DreamSet: A tool for transferring files to and from your Enigma2 receiver.

Steps:

  1. Install Notepad++: Download and install Notepad++ from https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/.
  2. Obtain Your Receiver's IP Address:
    • Press the menu button on your remote control.
    • Go to Setup > System > Network.
    • Look for the Adapter Setting option and note down your receiver's IP address.
  3. Configure DreamSet:
    • Extract the DreamSet archive and run the .exe file.
    • Go to Setup and enter your receiver's IP address, username, and password.
    • Select your Enigma2 image master version and click OK.
  4. Create a New List in DreamSet:
    • Go to Transfer > Read.
    • In the channels folder, right-click and select Create New List.
    • Name the list "iptv" and click OK.
    • Drag and drop the "iptv" folder under the other folders and click Save.
    • Choose a saving directory and click Open.
    • Select your Enigma2 master version and click Save.
  5. Edit the M3U File with Notepad++:
    • Right-click on your M3U file and select Edit with Notepad++.
    • Select all the channel links and copy them.
  6. Convert the M3U File to Userbouquet:
    • Open the m3u2userbouquet.html file in Notepad++.
    • Paste the copied channel links into the HTML page.
    • Click Generate.
    • Copy the generated userbouquet content.
  7. Paste Userbouquet Content into the IPTV File:
    • In DreamSet, go to the folder where you saved your receiver data.
    • Right-click on the iptv file and select Open with Notepad++.
    • Paste the copied userbouquet content.
    • Remove the duplicated "IPTV" name at the top.
    • Save and close Notepad++.
  8. Transfer the IPTV File to Your Receiver:
    • In DreamSet, click Open and browse to your receiver data.
    • Select the iptv file and click Open.
    • Click Transfer > Write.

Your new channel list should now be available on your Enigma2 receiver. Press the channel list button, then the button to show all channel folders, and select the iptv folder to access your channels.
